Why does one choose photography as a profession? Well, it's a job that makes me smile. Look at a photo in your house, or your friend's house, and try not to smile. Photography captures special moments in life worth remembering forever. That's why I like it. It's creative, interpretive, challenging and always changing. I shoot with an explorative eye, envisioning you as a piece of art. Most photo sessions are outdoors in a fun and playful environment and so we will call it environmental portraiture. I will use your home as a studio, if needed, using natural light and familiar suroundings for you and your children. Look at your parent's photo albums, then your friend's, and then my galleries. If you like what you see, then I am the photographer for you.
I am an artist. I am a photographer, and so I call myself an Artographer. I've taken many classes in the arts and have worked with many different photographers. Some things are just unable to be taught. You're either gifted with it, or you're not. I shoot with a love of the art, not as a day to day job. I give you the images with copyrights because I want you to have your memories forever and share them with everyone. Please, share them in emails, show them in slideshows and admire them in your home.
I grew up a country girl exploring nature and open fields around me. And I am proud to now call Appleton, Wisconsin my home. I enjoy music, gardening and being with my family. I have recently ended a ten year career in the retail world as I am now a new mother. The time has come to pursue my passion for photography and share my talent with you. Enjoy what you see.
