Ahhhhh… Pebble Beach in Door County, perhaps one of my favorite locations in the world. And every now and then I get to share my special little place with awesome people and capture them playing and skipping rocks as though they were little kids again. That’s what Emily and Matt were… giddy little kids on a brand new playground and I had my camera. It was a good day…

Rustic Door County Barn Wedding {katie & mark}
For months we’ve looked forward to spending this evening with dear friends of ours from back in the day. The celebrations we’ve captured in Door County have each incorporated a unique welcome for guests embracing the traditions of the county. From a late summer fish boil to epic early summer bonfire, nothing has been short of amazing.
Mark and Katie grew up in Door County and this was our first ‘childhood home’ wedding up there. Having grown up riding her bike up the road to grandma and grandpas farm, there was no other place Katie would have wanted this celebration to be. Enjoy a different look at Door County and this hometown gathering of friends and family.

Horseshoe Bay Door County Wedding {Megan & Adam}
Being able to photograph a Door County wedding amongst the natural beauty constantly surrounding you is always pure goodness. Being able to capture the love and emotions beaming from a long time family friend in addition to this enchanting place, well that is just pure bliss for us.
With countless tender moments and unique non-traditional elements woven in, a timeless wedding story unfolded within Megan & Adam’s day at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club. Add in a perfect blue sky day, a few distant sailboats floating by, a grand Door County sunset, an evening filled with live music and a sprawling sky of stars and your day goes from great to magical. Enjoy this collection of our favorite moments, this day could not have been more YOU Megan, xo! Finishing touches from Megan’s brother before Megan’s Dad and Adam see her. More and more we hear from couples that their favorite moment in their wedding day was that first look where it was just the two of them. It’s a chance to really take in each other and share your hearts emotions.
I love how the flowers pop with these sky blue dresses. McKeefry & Yeomans did a great job with Megan’s vision. Sailing has always been a big part of Megan’s life, it was so fitting that once quietly floated by during these portraits. Adam wrote and performed a sweet song for Megan entitled ‘The Book of Love’
If you have never experienced a sunset in Door County, you are truly missing out. I have no doubt that this one rose to one of Megan’s all time favorites! The card box was a piece Megan’s great grandfather had created almost a century ago from scrapped wood. Adam & Megan wanted to bring one of their favorite Boston treats, Mike’s Cannoli’s in lieu of a wedding cake. The fresh cannoli’s arrived that morning which gave the bridesmaids one last important task, who can fill the most the fastest! One of our most memorable dances of the year. The red was so romantic.
