Funny story… a few years ago I purchased a pair of pretty fabulous Steve Madden boots. Upon receiving so many compliments on them, I decided to start a hashtag for them affectionately named #whereintheworldarekimthielsboots  I photograph quite a few musicians. It’s a passion of mine and a creative outlet to capture some pretty emotional art being made. So, I get a wedding inquiry one day… from a musician… and it states that he found me through my boot hashtag. BAH, even better! #whereintheworldarekimthielsboots lead Chicago musician Keith Betti and his bride-to-be to invite me to Door County with them in celebration of their love. The day could not have had a more beautiful setting by the waters of Gordon Lodge in Baileys Harbor and was topped off by a breathtaking sunset, just see for yourself!

So, there you have it… the power of a hashtag and why so many people do it. You just never know where it may lead someone.
