It seems as though everyone wants something different from their friends when it comes to senior photos. I usually hate winter… I despise it. But this year I was actually looking forward to it because I wanted to do something different my self this year with the Class of 2012, something that no one else was doing.
Winter is the perfect time to take photos actually. You are surrounded by nothing but pure white goodness and a little architecture that Mother Nature herself constructed. Beautiful bold twiggy trees intricately wrapping their arms around one another with the subtle pallet of whatever remains of the tall fall grasses. Simple. Beautiful. Different.
Krystine was our first winter Senior Model this year and she rocked it! We had a perfect snowfall the night before and a cool 35 degree evening to make for a perfect winter session. She was the perfect model needing little direction as she switched from complete fashion model to giddy high school girl in the blink of an eye. We had so much fun laughing and playing in the snow that none of us let the chill of winter even get to us… well, maybe Krystine did when she decided to launch snowballs at me with her bare hands!
Class of 2012, if you’re looking for something a little different this year for your senior portraits do not wait. The opportunity for a dreamy winter white snow session will be gone in a few weeks and let me just tell you that snow is much more fun in front of a camera than behind a shovel!
We’re only booking five {FROSTED} sessions yet this year so contact kim@kimthielphotography.com or call 920.968-8743 if you want something truly unique for your senior portraits!
