I’m so happy to have been invited to capture the simple things in life for this beautiful family. Having children of our own we know what a huge transition it is going from hand-held the the independent stages of walking. The first steps are some of most unforgettable in this massive adventure called ‘family’.
As a child, I was my father’s shadow. He took me everywhere! One of the most vivid memories I have with him is being in the woods. Looking at him thru my 35 year-old eyes was just the same as I remembered it as a 10 year-old, but a lot more in focus. It’s not often I see my father, let alone have a camera with me when I do so. Being advocates of capturing memories I thought I’d better do so in my own life before they start to fade. So, here’s a little piece of me as a child. I can only hope all little girls have beautiful memories like this of their daddy and I hope they still live somewhere on the surface of your soul. I love you Papa.
Augh, I love this family! You may recognize these adorable little boys from the holiday cookie baking session I captured with them last Christmas. Mom had the perfect plan for her boys this year incorporating a campfire, s’mores and a handmade teepee for family photos. What more could a photographer ask for to keep smiles on four boys’ faces!
