Snowy Wisconsin Winter Wedding {Tara & Tim}

Winter weddings have a whisp of magic about them that we adore to the core. We all have to work a bit quicker in the snowy beauty but the outcome is so fresh, so unique, so lovely. Tara & Tim were such a delight to work with. Their natural confidence blended with our artistry in front of the camera. As a result we have a day filled with timeless beauty, playfully wrapped in their very own snow globe of a day. Winter stretches us as artists to break boundaries and try new things, this is a total win win. I know this is an image heavy post but it’s meant to give the full emotion of the day and to inspire winter brides…plus, I really couldn’t help myself.

P.S : A little note to Tim & Tara. As your one year anniversary is on the horizon, may your days be filled with genuine love, may you always enjoy the simple beauties in life and may you continue to be blessed in your journey as one. Congratulations on your first year together!

rustic vintage country wedding {nola & dustin}

Imagine a countryside wedding seemingly hidden amongst Wisconsin’s beautiful rolling fields and endless blue skies and you may have been at Nola & Dustin’s darling affair.   These two family’s sweet sentiments, the quaint openness, and simple comforts made this wedding so special for us to capture.

A day full of DIY personal touches made for endless wedding details to capture.  Hay bale lounges, mason jar drinking glasses and wildflower-kissed everything made you melt right into “The Land”.

Thank you, Nola & Dustin (and Dustin’s mom, and sister & brother-in-law, and pastor, and… ) for making us feel like part of your family on your wedding day.  It was an honor to be invited to capture your love and all your hard work come to life.

One of my favorite tender moments of the day:

Nola and Dustin made an outdoor lounge for their guests to cuddle up in.  It was beautiful!

The tent was just as inviting and filled with candle light later in the evening.

The bouquets and boutonniere were some of the most unique and perfectly coordinated I’ve ever seen!  Flowers were created by The Lilly Pad in New London, WI.

Wisconsin crafted New Glarus Spotted Cow beer and cold creamy tap Berghoff Root Beer made great thirst-quenchers.

Another Wisconsin must-have for an outdoor wedding… CHEESE!

A good old fashioned home-cooked meal suited their celebration perfectly.

If anyone knows Kari and I they know that we have about 24 sweet teeth in our heads.  Imagine the look on our faces when we first laid eyes on THIS!  Uncle Mikes Bake Shoppe in Green bay is much to thank for this delicious table.

During dinner we were cleansed with a few sporadic rain drops from a passing cloud.  The lighting after dinner was so intense and dramatic offering a unique photo opportunity.  I grabbed the Newlyweds had to sneak away for a few very quick snaps.

Nola and Dustin were even able to host their own campground for their guests with candle-lit guides, posh port-o-poties and buzzing flood lights.  Guests flocked to the field bringing RV’s and pitched tents making for a safe and festive evening.

A North Shore Wedding Celebration {chelsea & greg}

Chelsea and Greg’s affection for literature was the springboard to inspiration that every wedding needs. Maybe it’s the romance of letting your mind transport to new places or perhaps the endless possibilities of new paths you can reach within written word that captivates us. Regardless of what the reasons are, who doesn’t love a great story filled with glorious detail!? Chelsea took her vision and teamed up with the creative talent of  Sash & Bow to make her love of all things books and birdies memorable for every guest {just look at the hand created birdie place cards}.

Enjoy, and when you’re looking for a little inspiration to guide your wedding plans, look within. Where do you shop? What colors fill your closet? What is your go-to brand for fabulous home decor? Where do you enjoy hanging out with the love of your life? What savory and sweets do you crave most? The answers to these questions will surely guide you to the perfect celebration for the union of two.

Chelsea was such a beautiful bride. It’s an incredible feeling to step into your wedding dress the day of your wedding knowing THIS IS IT!

The handsome groom:

Pulling off a serious look isn’t as easy as it looks!

Greg was so giddy to see his bride walk down the aisle. The look he flashed his brother and best man says it all!

And talk about an emotional wedding! Chelsea’s brother was so happy for her!

I think Chelsea got a little excited herself 🙂

One of my favorites from the ceremony.

A welcome kiss from Greg’s mother.

Hands.

A fun little wedding party photo including a cool summer breeze.

And start the details. Chelsea’s English Major played a big role in directing their wedding theme. She had a photo booth for her guests (a must have!) and had them type up a little well wishes card for their Guest Book.

North Shore Golf Course always does an amazing job of presenting a wedding. The lighting is superb, food amazing and Mike makes you feel like family.

Chelsea’s beloved cake topper birds… adorable!

And my favorite part of the day… spending a little romantic time with the newly wed couple and creating their works of art.

If you have your photographer around at sunset PLEASE make it a point to go enjoy your sunset. It’s the most beautiful time of day and will be a bit of alone time for you to enjoy. You will not regret it.

I love photographing First Dances, especially at North Shore. So romantic and everything a wedding should be.
