Candid Family Photos

Here’s another super-duper adorable family I got to play with this fall. The playful energy of mom and dad and the bond this brother and sister share is completely adorable.

Door County Fall Family Photos

Gah… I love fall. Actually, I really don’t because I know what comes next; blah. What I do love is that come fall there’s suddenly this panic from families far and wide to get family photos done. I recently spent an afternoon with a few very dear families in Door County and, well, we had a little fun.

Summer Lovin {bremer family}

If you have little ones, you know how quickly “it” happens. One minute you are standing at the kitchen sink, doing your 8th batch of small people dishes of the day and you turn around and your youngest is suddenly standing there with her backpack on ready to head off to kindergarten. Time truly passes so quickly as we weave our way through the normal activity of daily life.  Lauren and Joel of Good Eggs in Ephriam, WI joined us for this sweet session, enjoy!

A note from Mom, Lauren–“It’s so easy, especially in this digital age where I equate having an iPhone with having a camera, to trick yourself into thinking that you are capturing beautiful family moments. But life moves so fast. It’s so easy to put “capturing life” off until tomorrow or the day after that. When I noticed how quickly my baby girl was starting to change even only after six months I knew how important it was to capture my children at this incredible time in our lives.

Our own kids transform before our eyes and in a tip of the head kind of way, all you want to do is hit pause. Family sessions like this mean a great deal to us because we know exactly how easily life slips by. We aim to take our knowledge of  family life and pair it with our artistic vision to capture silly, real life, tender moments. It’s truly special when we can spend time with not only our clients but our friends.
