A Wedding at Mulberry Lane Farm {christina & jerry}

A wedding in a barn? One might think at first that that would not be the ideal location for such an intimate affair but I think it’s perfect. It’s perfect because it feels like home. Christina and Jerry had a very handmade wedding this past autumn including gifting the family Apple Butter to all their guests, gathering all the Apple Bar apples from the local Spranger’s Orchard and decorating this beautiful barn along with the amazingly talent of Michelle from Flower Girl Design Studio.
Their wedding was one of the most emotional weddings we’ve photographed this past year. I have never met or seen a groom so in love with his future bride and freely express his thoughts and feelings to the loved ones surrounding them. Jerry, thank you for being so completely raw and honest with your feelings and reminding me why I love this job so darn much.
Enjoy.

Under the Old Oak Tree {carmen+tom}

If there is one day in a girls life that she has dreamed about since she was five years old it would be her wedding day. The day that she gets to wear the beautiful white dress and be ‘the princess’. Carmen’s vision of this day came together on one of the most beautiful autumn afternoons this past year and I was honored to be the one to capture her breathtaking beauty. Their wedding wove in many personal elements with a family heirloom 1949 Studebaker, an art piece made by three individuals symbolizing the creation of a new family and hand-made bouquets and accessories. They were surrounded by love and personal touch.

Carmen and Tom were the lucky couple who had the fun water fight LoveSession earlier this summer with the ol’ Studebaker. If you have not seen one of the creations from that session be sure to check it out.

Carmen and Tom, you are such a beautiful couple and we were honored to be invited to share and capture this day for you. Thank you.

A Lovely Pamprin Park Wedding {leah & peter}

I’ve had so many amazing couples, beautiful venues and gorgeous wedding days this year but if there’s one that tugs at my heart it’s Leah and Peter’s wedding at Pamprin Park. Whenever I meet with a couple for the first time I love to hear their story. Who they are, what path brought them together, how does it fit into their wedding day and to see how I can make their wedding images unique to the story they are living.

Leah and Peter are funeral directors. I have never personally met a funeral director before nor do I know much about the business of directing but I think Leah and Peter are definitely doing what they were meant to do. The kind and gentle manner these two display make them such a pleasure to be around. If I were to choose two people to comfort my family and friends at a time of loss it would be them.

Traveling all the way from New York state to celebrate in Green Bay, Wisconsin they deserved nothing short of a perfect day. With a lingering haze at an intimate outdoor gathering the conditions were more than perfect for amazing images. Leah and Peter, thank you. You were a delight to work with and we wish you our best.

Enjoy.
