It may sound cliche but there truly is no place like home.

There are many grand feelings associated with becoming parents for the first time but certainly the first trip home is something truly special.  Home is a place that is our unique creation, a safe place to build memories, sooth one another and create everlasting love. For Heather and Paul, home got a little more special this holiday season as they welcomed little Aubryn into her first year of family traditions. I’m certain she was spoiled in all the sweetest of ways.

Newborn Photography Resolutions, {JUST BE}

Newborns

As another years turns new, I try not to make resolutions but I do embrace it’s newness. I can’t help but try to take a fresh look at all that may come. On day one of 2011 I read a simple quote :: ‘If you want to be happy, BE‘ :: author unknown

Those simple words have been singing to me. There is truly so much to be thankful for in each day and that simple quote was a gentle reminder that the choices we all make are that, ours.  I’m excited for all the new little ones I will encounter and document in 2011. I’m looking forward to staying creative and fresh in all that I do in the memory capturing process. The wee one featured in this session is the very essence of BE ::  A reminder to smile at the simple things, explore with wonder and bask in your natural beauty.
