Upon answering the phone, filling my ears with conversation of a travel themed engagement pictures, vintage looking photos, train stations and a wedding in Ireland, I get a little giddy. Molly and Adam planned a perfect engagement photo session announcing their BIG plans through artistic imagery. They’re a darling couple that can pull of such a beautiful photo session because it suits their style perfectly.
I’m often asked why I do themed photo sessions or why I photographed them ‘like that’, and in all honesty, I do not style most sessions myself. I encourage our couples to look into their lives, their own style – color pallet, decor, wardrobe – to style their photo session accordingly. After all, it’s who they are and what will come most natural to them.
Molly and Adam are planning to exchange vows in Ireland and wished for a travel-themed engagement session in celebration of such a grand event. It seemed fitting to get their closest family and friends excited for the soon-to-come travels themselves. Molly brought along a few perfect props for the session including an heirloom suitcase, a vintage ‘Father of the Bride’ book, an old hairpiece, vintage black gloves and a vintage dress that already perfectly fit her from AtomicKats in Oshkosh.
