Galloway House Wedding :: Jodie & Geoff

How will your wedding day look? :: When you close your eyes what is the setting, is your dress tea length or have a subtle train, who is there, what colors accent the day, what details mean the most to you…? All of this and more is what we strive to capture in our image making.

For this event, Jodie’s affection to anything vintage was an instant connection with us. Share in her wedding words and the images that speak of this fairytale day that took place at the Galloway House in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

“October in Wisconsin is very unpredictable so I was a little nervous the morning of the wedding. I awoke to sunshine and perfect temperatures – a hopeful sign of the day to come. After hair and makeup done- we arrived at the Galloway House. I remember walking in and seeing Kim with my wedding dress hanging over the railing of the staircase and thinking to myself it is still the most amazing dress I have ever seen. I got ready in a beautiful bedroom in the mansion which fit me perfectly. If it is old or vintage I will most surely love it. We had waited almost seven years for this day to come and at 1:30 on a gorgeous fall day I married the man of my dreams surrounded by friends and family. It all went by so quickly. I was concentrating so hard on not crying (which didn’t work) that all I can tell you is Geoff loves me like he loves the weather. He was supposed to say he loves me like he loves no other vs. “the weather” but if that is the only thing that goes wrong on your wedding day I would say it was a success. It is a standing joke at our house now on beautiful days he loves me like he loves the weather.

That being said there is one thing I would advise doing on your wedding day because it goes so fast that I wish I had done. A first look…..take the time before all of the madness starts to spend some moments together. Just that five minutes with no one but the two of you.

I couldn’t remember the look on Geoff’s face when he saw me walk down the aisle. Not until I got my image gallery on line from Kim. Every look, every tear, every laugh and every small detail that we put into the day was all there. I look at the gallery at least once a day and Geoff always asks me why I need to see them so many times and I simply answer so that I can relive the day over and over.” :: Jodie Baumhardt
